“We scoured the globe looking for cybersecurity innovators that could make a huge difference and potentially help turn the tide against the exponential growth in cyber-crime. ContraForce is worthy of being named a winner in these coveted awards and consideration for deployment in your environment,” said Yan Ross, Editor of Cyber Defense Magazine.
ContraForce won the Editor’s Choice for Security Services Deliver Platform (SSDP).
What is a Security Services Deliver Platform (SSDP)?
SSDPs decouple the service delivery platform from the security services themselves. Today, SSDPs are used primarily to manage security incident and event management (SIEM) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools as part of managed detection and response (MDR) and security operation center (SOC) services.
Why are SSDPs being rapidly adopted by managed service providers (MSPs)? According to Gartner an SSDP, “provides adopters the ability to enter the detection and response service market with much lower entry costs and time to value.”1
This adoption of SSDPs is likely to continue. Gartner adds, “As the MDR market floods with a seemingly never-ending list of repetitive offerings, redundancy and inefficiency are multiplying. Based on this observation, Gartner foresees a future where standardized, decoupled platforms become the norm.”
ContraForce is the first independent SSDP company. Our independence allows us to be agnostic about connecting our platform with security tools and third party managed security service providers (MSSPs). For example, with the ContraForce SSDP, service providers can manage SIEM and EDR tools like:
Key Capabilities of the ContraForce SSDP
The ContraForce Platform allows service providers to detect, investigate, respond to, and mitigate possible cyberattacks against their clients.
Pricing is per user/month, with no upfront costs or long-term commitments required. Pricing per workspace/month is also available to enterprise MSSPs.
Service providers can use the ContraForce SSDP to deploy or improve MDR and SOC offerings. The flexibility of our SSDP means that service providers can provide their clients with security services either by using a co-managed arrangement brokered by ContraForce, or they can deliver security services themselves.
ContraForce Storm
ContraForce Storm allows MSPs to have qualified independent security service providers deliver an MDR or SOC service on their behalf.
Storm Providers must meet delivery requirements that include specified SLOs and SLAs including 24x7 continuous monitoring and an SLA of less than 1 hour to notify and respond to confirmed high severity security incidents.
Unlike typical outsourced MDR services, with Storm, MSPs can:
Moreover, Storm eliminates channel conflict and allows service providers to protect their client relationships. Both the MSP and the Storm Provider contract directly with ContraForce and co-manage client environments through the ContraForce SSDP. Storm Providers are contractually obligated not to solicit the MSP’s clients or share their name with clients without consent.
ContraForce Spark
ContraForce Spark is a cloud-based managed service workbench for service providers that are looking to deploy or improve an in-house MDR offering. Spark harnesses AI and automation to standardize and simplify incident investigation and response workflows, streamlining the time and expertise required to deliver managed security services. With Spark, service providers can onboard clients within a few minutes and easily manage multiple clients and multiple security tools simultaneously in a single dashboard.
Key Benefits of ContraForce SSDP for MSP/MSSPs
The ContraForce SSDP allows service providers to jumpstart a new line of business, improve their margins and deliver better client outcomes.
Monthly recurring revenue (MRR) growth
By decoupling the delivery platform, the ContraForce SSDP allows service providers to jump start a new revenue stream and immediately launch an MDR service to attract new clients. Service providers can also quickly grow their footprint within their install base and preempt their competitors for getting a foothold in their clients’ accounts.
Improved margins
Whether service providers use our SSDP to deliver MDR services themselves, or have Storm providers do so on their behalf, the AI and automation built into the platform allows engineers and analysts to spend less time on repetitive, routine tasks and work more efficiently. The result is a reduced need for service providers to hire security expertise or make upfront investments in a security operations center.
Better client outcomes
Finally, the ContraForce SSDP allows service providers to create competitive advantage by delivering better client outcomes. By using ContraForce, service providers can improve their clients’ security posture and help them to meet regulatory requirements by delivering comprehensive and auditable threat detection and response.
In Summary
We are excited to be recognized by Cyber Defense Magazine for the innovations we’ve made in the fast-growing SSDP market and embrace their sentiment that the ContraForce SSDP, “could make a huge difference and potentially help turn the tide against the exponential growth in cyber-crime".
