ContraForce expands to Asia-Pacific, partnering with Crayon

We’re excited to announce that ContraForce has expanded to Asia-Pacific through a new partnership with Crayon.

Our partnership with Crayon is as much about what we have in common as it is about how our businesses complement each other, namely our respective investments to support Microsoft partners looking to build out their security business.

Crayon for its part is a global IT consultancy and a leader in the IT services sector. Publicly listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and headquartered in Oslo, Norway, Crayon has more than 4,000 employees in over 50 offices across 40 countries. Their business serves over 140,000 customers worldwide, from SMBs to Fortune 500 companies. And business is good! They saw a 17 percent increase in profits in Q1 2024.

Crayon is one of Microsoft’s top 10 licensing solutions providers (LSP) in the world. That is, they act as an intermediary between Microsoft and clients, providing licenses and advice. They are experts at what they do and have been recognized by Microsoft as a solutions partner for security and many other solutions.

And like ContraForce, they were also recognized by Microsoft this year for their excellence. Where ContraForce was awarded the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA) Excellence Award for security independent software vendor (ISV) of the year in 2024, Crayon was awarded the 2024 Microsoft Partner Award for Scale Solutions among Microsoft LSPs.

We are partnering to help service providers in Asia-Pacific deploy or improve a managed detection and response (MDR) service. Through our partnership with Crayon, service providers will be able to harness the power of AI and hyper-automation intrinsic to the ContraForce platform to streamline the time and security expertise required to manage Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and other Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and Extended Detection and Response (XDR) tools for their clients.

“We're truly excited to join forces with ContraForce in our mission to uplift our partners across Asia-Pacific,” said Rhonda Robati, EVP at Crayon. “At Crayon, our partners are at

the heart of everything we do. This collaboration is not just about technology; it's about empowering our partners to build stronger, more resilient businesses. With the ContraForce platform, we're providing them with the tools they need to grow, innovate, and deliver exceptional security value to their customers”

Revenue in the managed security services market is expected to reach just over US$5 billion in Asia-Pacific in 2024, according to Statista. Service providers in Asia-Pacific looking to profitably scale an MDR business and be a part of this growing marketing can reach out to Crayon.

Crayon has local offices including offices in Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand; and more than 800 people across the Asia-Pacific region. Existing Crayon partners will find ContraForce listed in Crayon’s PRISM and Cloud-iQ platforms.

ContraForce is everything you need to manage your security service delivery with confidence.
